Boredom

Boredom

by Emmett Richards

Boredom is an independent clothing company from Canada.

We make clothes and other things for everyday life. Some pieces are simple. Some take a little longer. Some are made in Canada, some are finished by hand, and most of them start with something we actually want to wear ourselves.

Boredom has always been interested in the ordinary — the people, places and things you see every day and usually don’t think much about.

A lot of what we do comes from there.

Our clothes are made to be worn, lived in, washed, faded, passed around and eventually become somebody’s favourite thing. We care about how they’re made, how they fit and how they feel, but we try not to make too big a deal about it.

Boredom House in Ottawa is our shop, workspace and home base. It’s where we work on clothes, shoot things, meet people and figure out whatever is next.

We’re still figuring it out.

Maybeeeee tomorrow
